Who is Chris?

God definitely has a sense of humor.
My name is Chris Herning. I lead the high school community at Vineyard.
When I was in high school, no one (including me) would have predicted I would end up where I am now. At one time I swore I would never be "converted" and I would never set foot in a church again.
Here I am working at a church and the best thing that ever has happened to me is finding a life changing relationship with God my senior year of high school.
I've been here at Vineyard since 1994. I'm married w/ 3 kids and live in Chicago. In addition to running our high school group, VisionQuest; I also run the junior high youth group here and oversee our rock shows. This past January, I also started a college age group called Overcomers. It's for people who realize that there is some area in their life that they are stuck in and need help getting over.Together we work as a group to help each other become overcomers. Kind of like an A.A. group that applies to multiple areas of your life.
